Our Christmas
Article:
As I write this
letter, the Boston Red Sox have just won the American League
Championship series in game seven. The drought is over in
Southern California and it is raining. It is like two
miracles in one night! Stores are filled with Christmas
decorations and presents and I find in my heart a desire that we
will experience a gift of more happiness than hurry this holiday
season.
Let's not forget
to breathe Spirit into all of our plans and to take time to dream
newness into our tradition. My friend, what dream are you
holding close this holiday time? Have you heard an inner
voice whispering to you of some wonderful pan? Pay attention
to that inner urging. This is the time, this holy time of
spiritual power and empowerment, to bring your dream into your
world of manifestation, for "With God, all things are
possible."
I'd like to share
some simple suggestions for making this the best holiday season
ever, a shining transforming highlight in your life.
1. Sort out and pay
attention to your priorities. List all the things that need
to be done and put first things first.
2. Take time each day for
quietness. Feed your spiritual nature at this blessed time;
making it a habit you will carry into the new year.
3. Look for spiritual
significance in everything and everyone. Be alert to the
constant help and assistance available to you.
4. Finally, put love into
everything you do. As you wrap gifts and write messages on
cards, let all things be done in love. We can't bring gold,
frankincense and myrrh to the Christ Child in the manger, but we
can offer the gift of ourselves, our love, our patience, our
understanding, our light. These are gifts that last far
beyond Christmas.
